Epic Blue Tours

June – Sept 2025.
Over the summer, while communicating through three different time zones, I interned remotely for a small snorkel shop in La Jolla, California. Epic Blue Tours was an experimental opportunity to test the company and see if it was ready to tackle marketing head-on. A summer full of challenges that made me better and laughs that hurt my stomach, EBT gave me opportunities I never expected.

Such as:

  • Learning how to communicate via three different time zones and through Zoom only.
  • The opportunity to create a mini brand book and, in turn, rebrand the company. Including the name.
  • Post on social media for a company with little to no experience online.
  • Learn the ins and outs of VRBO and Airbnb Experience.
  • Edit descriptions and photos to accurately convey the brand and experience.
You can view the Instagram here! And, if in California, book a tour below!

I had the opportunity to not only create a new brand kit for EBT, but also name the company. When the group hired me, they wanted to go through a modern refresh, to reconnect with their adventure and product.

After many versions, the group decided to go with “Epic Blue Tours,” a name that provided their customers with a sense of water adventure but allowed room for growth.

In addition, I provided the group with fonts, colorways, and a sample feed to model their social media after. In this position, I was the primary social media marketer, communicating with people all over the country to get content to turn into an interesting post.

We focused on educational posts that would help future or current guests understand the tour and safety requirements more in depth, with the occasional video or photo of local sea life seen on a tour.
